Business First Partnership recognised as a great place to work   

Business First Partnership has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work by the global authority on workplace culture.

The Great Place To Work (GPTW) certification is awarded to companies following an independent, research-backed employee survey. GPTW’s mission is to help every workplace become a better place to work fostering more successful and sustainable businesses by providing leaders with the tools to enhance their overall employee experience.

We are proud that we received top marks in every category of the prestigious survey, with 100% of our team stating BFP is a great place to work, compared with the national average of 54%.    

This is reflected by our 100% staff retention rate which means our clients work with an account team that really get to know their travel policy ensuring their needs are met at every stage.

The survey was broken down into the key sections outlined below, and we achieved a 100% agreement rate in each element.

100% – I am given the resources and equipment to do my job

At BFP, it is essential to us that every member of the team not only has everything they need to do their job, but also, that they have a clear roadmap to help them progress in their chosen career path.

Every member of the BFP team is personally known and valued. We understand their career goals and support them in reaching them every step of the way. From designing bespoke upskilling opportunities and supporting a team member’s progression, to creating a new role for them, BFP is always willing to go the extra mile.

100% – Everyone has an opportunity to get special recognition

Supporting the development of every member of the BFP team, both personally and professionally, is one of our key company values. We are pleased to see this reflected in the fact that every member of the team feels they have the opportunity to get special recognition for all the hard work they put in.

We offer every colleague a quarterly rewards programme in recognition of how hard they work, which allows them to enjoy incentives such as family days out, tickets to a range of events, and hospitality vouchers. They can even store up their rewards if they want to and use them for one larger reward, such as a holiday.

The surveys were anonymous, but one team member commented: “I believe that our company treats everyone like family, not like colleagues. We are made to feel valued, respected and cared for by every member of staff and especially the management team.

“I have never worked for a company who cares so much for their staff. Not only do we get opportunities to develop in our roles, but we are also looked after outside of our roles.”

100% – People here are willing to give extra to get the job done

We are constantly blown away by the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by every member of the BFP team. Everyone who works at BFP cares deeply about delivering for our clients and the ongoing success of the company and, as such, is willing to go above and beyond to ensure we surpass our goals.   

Maintaining a positive and progressive company culture and supporting each other in our individual and collective goals fosters a spirit of doing extra to get the job done.

100% – You can count on people to co-operate

As a remote business, it is excellent that the survey has confirmed our entire team knows they can count on each other. We have worked hard to create a collaborative working culture which encourages team cohesion, regardless of roles and seniority.    

Our Health and Wellbeing Hub provides a range of resources to encourage teambuilding, as well as supporting colleagues’ physical and mental health.

Another respondent to the survey explained: “BFP is like no other company I have worked for. They take pride in making their employees’ lives better. From the compassion for people’s home life and families which they constantly display, to the big BFP events they plan for us, this is a company which truly cares for its team.”

We have a range of measures in place to give our team the opportunity to get to know each other better, for example, our monthly book club which has proved to be highly popular. The Hub includes a dedicated social section, reminding our team of opportunities for both in person and online social events to promote team camaraderie.

These strong personal relationships support the co-operation which our team demonstrate in the workplace day in, day out.
